Jane Krakowski (born October 11, 1968 in Parsippany, New Jersey) is an American actress. Best known for playing Elaine Vassal on the television series Ally McBeal, Krakowski has also appeared in movies such as National Lampoon's Vacation, Fatal Attraction, The Flintstones in Viva Rock Vegas (where she played Betty Rubble), Marci X, Alfie, and Pretty Persuasion. In September 2006, Krakowski will be a member of the cast of 30 Rock, a sitcom based loosely on the behind-the-scenes environment of Saturday Night Live. Jane Krakowski will play the role of the star of 30 Rock's show-within-a-show, a role played by Rachel Dratch in the show's pilot.

Jane Krakowski appeared in the 1989 Broadway musical Grand Hotel as the typist and would-be-film-star Flaemmchen. Her solo number "I Want to go to Hollywood" is included on the original cast recording. At the 2000 American Comedy Awards, Krakowski won rave reviews when she performed a s--ually charged musical tribute and love letter to Microsoft chairman, Bill Gates.

In January of 2002, Windham Hill Records released a Jim Brickman album entitled "Love Songs & Lullabies" featuring Jane Krakowski as a vocalist for the song "You".

In 2003, Jane starred in the Broadway revival of Nine for which she won the Tony Award for Best Actress. In 2005, Jane Krakowski starred alongside Ewan McGregor in the new production of Guys and Dolls in London, at the Piccadilly Theatre.
